The first annual fancy dress competition has been a huge hit! Dogs came into daycare in fancy dress costumes.The theme of the costumes was Halloween, to coincide with All Hallow's Eve.Local business such as For Paws and Pets at Home Newcastle helped to provide prizes for the dogs. Costumes included pumpkins, tutus and hotdog outfits. All the dogs made a huge effort in their costumes; from pumpkins to hotdog costumes. Various activities also took place throughout the week; the dogs had the chance to eat candy apples as well as pumpkin carving. on Wednesday 30th, the dogs went on a Halloween dog walk in Jesmond dene in fancy dress. On Thursday 31st, the dogs went to Pooches Cafe in South Shields to stay and play with the other dogs.
Members of the Facebook community voted for the favourite dogs on Facebook. The winners in each category were picked by which individual pictures had the most likes. There were 3 categories; funniest costume, scariest costume and best costume. Winners took home some rosettes and trophies along with a goody bag.
